New York Islanders Training Facility

Northwell Health Ice Center – East Meadow, Long Island, NY

At the “Coolest Place on Long Island,” the New York Islanders’ official practice facility, I led the design of a transformative interior environment that reflects the team’s world-class stature, identity, and legacy. With a new head coach driving fresh vision, the challenge was to create a space that celebrates history while propelling the organization toward future success.

The interiors are defined by a restrained yet rich material palette-warm woods, engineered stone, porcelain tile, and branded graphic elements-delivering sophistication without sacrificing function. Executive offices, coaching suites, and conference spaces were elevated through layered lighting, custom millwork, and timeless finishes, while high-traffic areas like reception, corridors, and kitchens became branded touchpoints that balance hospitality with resilience.

The result is a facility that is functional, inspiring, and unmistakably Islanders: a professional environment for staff, a performance-driven hub for athletes, and a design statement that sets a new standard for NHL training spaces.
