Flatiron After Dark: A Luxe, Late-Night Hideaway Blends Iconic Fashion with Acoustic Precision
Tucked into a landmarked stretch of Manhattan’s Flatiron District, this newly unveiled nightlife venue transforms a former bar and restaurant into an intimate, design-forward experience for the city’s after-hours set. Conceived in collaboration with a longtime client—an entrepreneur with a deep appreciation for hospitality and the downtown scene—the narrow, elongated space delivers a curated atmosphere tailored to New York’s urban crowd, where a 4 a.m. liquor license is just the beginning.
Following the success of Coco and Colette in the GM Building, the design team envisioned this project as a moody, luxurious escape, where every surface contributes to the ambiance. Custom wall panels, created in partnership with an acoustic and lighting consultant, underwent an intensive prototyping process to perfect their sculptural form—an homage to the elegant curvature of an Hermès cuff. The result is both visually striking and sensorially immersive, wrapping guests in warm tones, impeccable sound quality, and discreet lighting within an acoustic monolithic ceiling that evolves with the rhythm of the night.
